[關於陳維宗 About Cookie]

畢業後誤入歧途,在洛杉磯開始經營咖啡廳,在此與酒精結下不解之緣。隨後旅居波特蘭,開始參與製酒,對於由生產至銷售的每個環結有更深的瞭解。目前定居台北,進行酒吧的籌備工作、並致力於在台推廣葡萄酒文化,期盼讓更多人體會其中的美妙。

本次活動會將以自由、輕鬆的對話方式進行。Cookie (陳維宗)樂於與大家分享在酒莊工作的經驗。無論只是基於好奇,或對於品酒已有心得、欲交換經驗的朋友,都歡迎交流。台灣的品酒文化尚在熟成,Cookie 將以他的知識為出發點,分享一些葡萄酒和他的想法及理念。

After getting graduate schools out of the way I opened and run a cafe in Los Angeles where my life in the wine started fermenting. Subsequently moved to Portland, Oregon for fresher air and continued working in the restaurant industry. Eventually become fully immersed in the wine industry– first at wineries and then in wine retailing before moving back to Taiwan, planning to open a winebar in the near future, or at least contribute to the maturing of wine culture in Taiwan.

This will be a wine-tasting with free-flowing dialogue rather than me giving a talk.  I’ll be happy to share my experience working at a winery if you’re curious, and to exchange observations of the Taiwanese wine culture, or just wine in general, over a glass of vino of course.  As the topic also implies, wine life in Taiwan is still maturing; I’d like to take this opportunity to pour some familiar wines and not-so-familiar ones.
